Patricia Polacco has a gift of storytelling and writing. Patricia Polacco was born in Lasing, Michigan on July, 11, 1944. She was raised in Oakland, California. When she was born she had a disease called dyslexia. Dyslexia is a disease that makes you have a hard time to read and write. Patricia attended Ohio, state university and earned a degree in art history. Patricia started writing at the age of 41. All her books are based on her childhood.
